PIRATE JOHNNY STEALS THE SHOW
WHILE most musicians have to pay their dues before getting a chance to perform at the biggest night in the American music calendar Johnny Depp proved that a famous name can help with serious queue- jumping.
The 52- year- old Hollywood star took to the stage with rock legends Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry for the TV debut of their supergroup Hollywood Vampires and performed As Bad As I Am, as well as a tribute to Lemmy from Motorhead.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star admitted in a red- carpet interview that the band’s formation wasn’t planned: “It sort of just happened,” after he and Alice starred together in the film Dark Shadows.
Hollywood Vampires released their first album in 2015, featuring mostly classic rock covers, and a new digital version of the self- titled album was launched last Friday.
