Party must suspend anti- Semitic Oxford students says Labour MP
A LABOUR MP has called on his party to suspend the Oxford University Labour Club over allegations of anti- Semitism.
Co- chairman Alex Chalmers resigned this week saying “a large proportion” of members had “some kind of problem” with Jewish people.
Senior members had expressed “solidarity” with the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, he added.

with the club while a full investigation is carried out.
He said: “This is something Jeremy Corbyn should personally look into.”
Mr Chalmers, a history student at Oriel College, announced his resignation on Monday after the club voted to support Israel Apartheid Week which campaigns on what it calls Israel’s “apartheid policies”.

spokesman said: “We are taking these allegations very seriously. We will do whatever is necessary to ensure every Labour club is a safe space for Jewish students.”
Welcoming the inquiry, a Labour spokesman insisted that the party “condemns anti- Semitism in any form”.
But Tory MP and campaigner Andrew Percy said: “Jeremy Corbyn has shared platforms with terrorists.
“This is a further sign of the worrying increase in antiSemitism on the Left”.
