Veteran is forced to sell medals
AN IRAQ war hero is selling his Military Cross to help him forget the “bad” memories.
Trevor Coult, who was a colour sergeant in the Royal Irish Regiment, suffers from posttraumatic stress.
He was awarded the medal, the third highest military honour, for fi ghting off bombers in Baghdad in 2005.
The 41- year- old, from Woodbridge, Suffolk, will auction nine medals and memorabilia on March 19 in Martlesham. Suffolk. The proceeds – expected to reach £ 40,000 – will go to his son Sebastian, fi ve.
He said: “The medals bring back bad memories for me.”
