THE CABLE GUY

One of Ben Stiller’s early directing jobs, before Zoolander and The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty, and Judd Apatow’s first film as a producer, The Cable Guy is an incredibly dark comedy about an obsessive TV repair man.

After being prompted by a friend, Steven Kovacs tries to bribe the man installing his TV package in order to get all of the channels for free, only to find that this particular Cable Guy has a bad habit of becoming dangerously obsessed with his customers and uses criminal means to try and befriend them.

Matthew Broderick stars as Kovacs with Jim Carrey in classic gurning form as the menacing Chip Douglas.
