CAROLE TO WEAVE HER MAGIC AT HYDE PARK
THREE decades since her last UK concert legendary singer Carole King will be returning to these shores for a very special appearance.
But it won’t just be any old gig – the 74- year- old is to play one of music’s great records, her classic album Tapestry, in its entirety when she takes to the stage for Barclaycard Presents British Summertime Hyde Park on Sunday July 3. Carole says: “Now I’m coming to London and can’t wait to perform Tapestry from beginning to end for the first time ever.
“How perfect to be doing that in the heart of one of my favourite cities.”
The event should also be something of a treat for 1970s music fans generally, as Eagles founder Don Henley will be supporting Carole and her band. Tickets go on sale this Friday and can be purchased via bst- hydepark. com
