Dobbie grabs late penalty
STEPHEN Dobbie scored a penalty for Bolton deep into injury time to deny Ipswich a place in the play- off places.
Dobbie’s strike earned a 2- 2 draw just as it looked as though Christophe Berra’s 72ndminute strike had given the Tractor Boys victory.
A 23rd- minute curling effort from Kevin Bru had set Ipswich on their way. Berra made it 2- 0 but Lawrie Wilson pulled one back before the penalty seven minutes into injury time.
A sublime volley from Tjaronn Chery and Gabriele Angella’s closerange header gave QPR a 2- 0 win over Derby at Loftus Road.
It saw QPR win two successive home games for the fi rst time since December 2014 as Derby’s promotion bid suffered a setback. Rotherham snatched a dramatic late goal to win 1- 0 and dent the promotion hopes of Middlesbrough as well as boost their own fi ght against the drop.
Lee Frecklington blasted home from Jonson Clarke- Harris’s left- wing cross in the 88th minute to stun the visitors, who had missed a host of fi rst half chances.
Loan stars Tony Watt and Danny Graham both scored as Blackburn beat Birmingham 2- 0. The Blues had been closing in on the play- off places but Watt put Blackburn ahead in the 20th minute and Graham added another goal three minutes later – seconds after Birmingham had powerful appeals for a penalty turned down.
Nelson Oliveira lifted some of the gloom hanging over Nottingham Forest by fi ring in his ninth goal of the season in a 1- 0 win over Preston.
