Jailed... teacher mum with rape pictures of tots as young as two

- By Paul Jeeves

A SENIOR woman teacher has been jailed for 18 months after being caught with images of children as young as two being raped.

“Highly respected” head of English Caroline Parry, 45, was found with a computer memory stick containing images of child abuse and bestiality which she was given online, a court heard.

The married mother- of- three began an internet relationship with an American man who confessed to being a paedophile.

Repulsed

He sent her images of serious sexual abuse of children which police found on laptops when they raided her home.

Parry, of Ormesby, Middlesbrough, admitted making and possessing indecent images of children and one count of having extreme pornography involving a horse.

Police found 20 indecent images of children, with 16 of them in the most serious category.

At Teesside Crown Court, Judge Stephen Ashurst told the former senior leadership team member at a Middlesbrough secondary school that her fall from grace had been “nothing less than spectacular”.

He said: “You are regarded by the outside world as being a responsible mother.

“You have been well- respected for many years as a senior teacher at a local school.

“Your marriage is now in tatters, your home life disrupted, your career in ruins and, I am sure you will appreciate, all of this is self- inflicted.”

The court heard how Parry maintained her online relationship for “a number of years” after the man bombarded her with pictures and videos showcasing his preference for sex with very young girls and their mothers.

Judge Ashurst said: “Far from being repulsed by what you were either viewing or downloading, you encouraged him in his sick fantasies.

“He referred to you as being a ‘ fellow paedo’ and you went along with that.”

The judge said Parry described the child victims in messages as “cute” and said they appeared to be “loving” what was happening to them. But the court heard that the images, showing serious abuse by adults of children as young as two, depicted the victims in “visible pain” and distress.

The judge said the community could be reassured that the victims were not family members or pupils.

But he said that the gravity of the offending was such that an immediate custodial sentence could not be avoided.

Parry was also put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.
