SHERIDAN HAPPY TO REMEMBER ‘MY GIRL’

-

SOMEONE who felt the need to defend herself post Baftas was Sheridan Smith.

C-Word star responded to those who felt she was upset and only pretending to be happy when the programme, an adaptation of Sheridan’s late friend Lisa Lynch’s book documenting her battle with cancer, lost out to BBC Three show Don’t Take My Baby in the Best Single Drama category.

“When will you stop bullying?” Sheridan, 34, tweeted to her 669,000 followers.

“I had the best night in memory of my girl Lisa Lynch!”

Some fans had suggested the Cilla star quickly changed her sullen facial expression only upon realising the camera was on her... Like George Osborne watching Keane on the Andrew Marr Show in 2012.

Sheridan also lost out in the Best Leading Actress category, won by Suranne Jones for BBC One drama Doctor Foster.
