Murray in split

ANDY MURRAY has announced that he is splitting with coach Amelie Mauresmo after two years.

Although he was not able to add to the two Grand Slam victories he won under Ivan Lendl, Murray, below, has enjoyed considerable success. However, Mauresmo and Murray made the “mutual decision” to end their partnership, with the former Wimbledon women’s champion only making it to two of Murray’s tournaments this season following the birth of son Aaron in August.

Murray said: “I’ve learnt a lot from Amelie over the last two years, both on and off the court. She has been a calming influence. We will all miss having her around.”
