THE stars came out in Cannes yesterday as the world’s most famous film festival started.
Victoria Beckham helped to get the party started with a glamorous turn on the red carpet for the French Riviera gala night.
The Spice Girl turned fashion designer drew attention in a pair of high-waisted black trousers and strapless bustier top.
Wearing her hair swept casually away from her face and her hands in her pockets, Victoria, 42, almost managed a smile as she arrived at the event.
Her actress pal, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, 41, looked angelic in a demure creamy-white fishtail gown that accentuated her famous curves.
Eva wore her long dark hair loose and swept behind her ears to show off her dazzling diamond earrings.
Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain oozed old-school Hollywood style in a floor-skimming yellow gown.
The actress, 39, wore her famous red hair loose around her shoulders, leaving her chunky jewelled necklace to steal the show.
Also adding a touch of glamour was cheery Australian actress Naomi Watts, 47, who attended the opening ceremony of the 69th Cannes festival for a screening of Woody Allen’s film Cafe Society.
