Brown hit by migrant row
GORDON Brown provoked anger last night, claiming that Labour did not make a “mistake” by allowing mass immigration.
In a TV interview, the former Labour prime minister argued that quitting the EU would mean soaring levels of illegal immigration.
Mr Brown rejected a suggestion that the last Labour government had blundered by opening UK borders to EU migrants.
But critics hit back, saying his policies in office had been “a disaster” for Britain.
