Cameron has been left red-faced over his red line
DAVID Cameron’s EU renegotiations were a cunning pretence to fool and cheat the public into voting to remain (“How our PM gave in to Merkel’s demands over EU”, May 11).
Your columnist Stephen Pollard rightly describes the negotiations as a meaningless farce.
The actions of the Prime Minister in dropping his “red line” of an emergency brake on immigration and submitting to Angela Merkel’s orders were shameful.
As Iain Duncan Smith has revealed, demands for an emergency brake on immigration were abruptly dropped by the PM. He has lost any credibility he had.
