Thanks for the memories but it is time to move on
WELL done to West Ham United for beating Manchester United 3-2 in their last game at Upton Park (“Ugly bubbles in the air”, May 11).
The first game I saw the Hammers play was when my grandad took me to see them play Manchester United on September 8, 1958, in the old First Division.
A 17-year-old made his debut that evening. His name was Bobby Moore. Ironically the score was 3-2 that night as well.
I was 13 years old and have been a Hammers fan ever since.
RIP Upton Park but life moves on and I am looking forward to seeing them at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
