Blue Adidas deal ended

CHELSEA’S £30million-a-year kit deal with Adidas will finish at the end of next season – six years ahead of schedule.

The departure has been described as mutual, with Nike lined up as potential new sponsors. Adidas have denied the deal has been ended because Chelsea will not be in the Champions League.

The club are also in talks over sharing the Olympic Stadium with West Ham while Stamford Bridge is rebuilt. A possible deal with Wembley has been lined up and Twickenham is another alternative.

John Terry, meanwhile, is set to learn today whether he has a future at Chelsea when he meets club director Marina Granovskaia and technical director Michael Emenalo.
