'STRONGER' ITV TUNED IN FOR SUCCESS
A STRONG performance from its production and online businesses brightened the picture for ITV, despite advertising jitters over the Brexit debate. The broadcaster’s revenue grew by 14 per cent to £755million in the first quarter, after acquisitions boosted revenue at ITV Studios by 44 per cent. Its share of viewing was up 3 per cent. Chief executive Adam Crozier flagged a “healthy pipeline” of new and returning programmes, including Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman. He said: “ITV is now a much stronger and more diverse business and we expect to deliver good profit growth in the first half.”
