FURY LEFT ‘BAFFLED’ BY DOPING CLAIMS

TYSON FURY has denied he is a drugs cheat after allegation­s suggesting he took the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone.

High levels of nandrolone were allegedly found in a urine sample taken last year before he beat Wladimir Klitschko to be crowned world heavyweigh­t champion. But Fury’s team released a statement yesterday denying any wrongdoing.

“We are baffled by the story,” read the statement. “Tyson Fury absolutely denies any allegation of doping. He looks forward to recovering from his injury and defending his titles against Wladimir Klitschko in October.”

Nandrolone is a naturally occurring substance in the body which aids muscle growth. Fury postponed his July 9 rematch with Klitschko on Friday citing an ankle injury and posted pictures to prove it.
