Charlie Watts says Mick Jagger never gave up on Ronnie Wood. in Havana moon – the new documentary about the Rolling Stones’ historic concert in Cuba in march – Charlie, 75, says frontman mick, 73, always had faith that the guitarist, 69, would get his infamous boozing under control when everyone else had serious doubts.
Charlie says that despite mick “turning there wiggling his a***” the singer does get concerned about people.
“He was wonderful with ronnie. i gave up hope on ronnie... stopping drinking... mick never did.
“Ronnie is an incredible, little ball of energy – incredibly talented and enthusiastic. i admire the man very much.”
Havana moon will be in UK cinemas on September 23 for one night only.
