Use primer

Primers create a clean surface on the skin, which will give foundation a better finish. It will also prevent make-up sinking into lines or creases.

Line lips

Stop lipstick feathering and bleeding by using a wax lip liner, which creates a barrier, keeping the lipstick in place.

Easy on the eyeliner

Liner can make the eye look smaller so use a brush to blend shadow along the lash line, smudging the colour to soften it.

Choose a cream blush

Powder blusher can sit in lines and wrinkles. A cream can be worked into the skin with a brush or finger and blended, leaving a natural glow.

Steer clear of sparkle

Anything glittery or shimmery can settle into creases, drawing attention to areas you don’t want to highlight. Matte eyeshadows are best.
