Guardiola is looking odds-on for title

-

THE season is just four games old, but we have already felt the need to cut Manchester City to odds-on for the title.

Their result against Manchester United in the best game of the season so far saw their odds cut to evens, and they came in even further to 10-11 after Chelsea’s failure to defeat Swansea. In common parlance, we give Pep Guardiola’s side a 52.38 per cent chance of lifting the title. United are the 9-2 second favourites with Chelsea 5-1.

At the bottom, Burnley are odds on to go down at 4-5 with Hull even money and Sunderland completing the trio at 13-8.

Sunderland boss David Moyes faces his old Everton side tonight, who are now managed by Ronald Koeman. The Dutchman has picked up seven points from three matches and a win tonight, for which they are 11-10, could propel them into second in the league.

Sunderland should be much improved from their previous home match which they lost to Middlesbrough and I fancy them to grab a point at 11-5.

This weekend saw one of the big shocks in Europe with Barcelona losing at home to Alaves. The recently-promoted side were 28-1 to win. The biggest bet we saw on them in the build-up to the game was £14, while one unlucky soul placed £1,600 on the home side at 1-6.
