Jack buying into Bourn identity

- TONY BANKS

JACK WILSHERE wants to put any talk of a new Arsenal contract out of his mind – because he regards himself as a Bournemouth player.

The 24-year-old is even looking for a place to live in Dorset to cut down on the commuting while he is on his seasonlong loan.

When he came on after 63 minutes on Saturday, there were flashes of the player everyone knows he can be.

Wilshere, above, said: “I’m a Bournemouth player now in my head. I could have sat at Arsenal and just come on now and then. But the manager couldn’t

promise me I would play now.

“That wasn’t good enough for me. I want to play week-in and week-out. I’ve missed almost 18 months of football and I haven’t played in the Premier League week-in and week-out for a good time. I miss the Premier League.” Callum Wilson backheeled a deserved winner that left Albion manager Tony Pulis in a fragile position after a fall-out with chairman John Williams and being booed by fans.
