CAMP CHILDREN ON WAY

BRITAIN has begun an operation to take in migrant children as the French prepare for the demolition of the Jungle camp, it emerged yesterday.

The first group of youngsters, who were in the camp alone, travelled to England over the weekend after France called on the UK to take them in.

Last night a spokesman for the Calais Prefecture said: “Five Syrian minors and one Afghan minor have just been transferred to the United Kingdom. From Monday around 10 more minors will follow, then on Tuesday about 10 more.”
