Shock as rugby coach, 42, dies
MUNSTER rugby coach Anthony Foley has died suddenly aged 42.
The former Ireland back-row’s death at the team hotel in Paris from a suspected heart attack led to the postponement of yesterday’s Munster versus Racing 92 clash.
Supporters sang Fields of Athenry in a tribute to Foley, who captained Ireland three times and won 62 caps.
Munster Rugby said: “It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to our coach, former captain, colleague and friend, rest in peace Anthony Foley.”
