Jailed... ‘sex bully’ boss who attacked young women staff

- By John Twomey

A BOSS jailed for a year for molesting two women in his office was branded a sex bully yesterday.

Anthony Constantinou, 35, aimed to humiliate his victims in the attacks at boozy parties in his City of London skyscraper HQ, a judge said.

The Old Bailey heard that Constantinou, chief executive of foreign exchange firm Capital World Markets, bragged, “You can’t say no to a Greek” before attacking one young woman.

He then made obscene remarks about her body before force-feeding her hot wasabi paste from a £500 sushi platter.

Pinning her against a glass partition, he grabbed her and pushed his tongue into her mouth, the court heard.

The tycoon’s son, who once showed Princess Anne around his offices at prestigious Heron Tower, attacked the second victim during a party to celebrate a £1million profit on the foreign exchange trading Assaults...Constantinou floor. Constantinou, of Hampstead, north London, groped the woman’s breasts and forcibly kissed her. He denied attacking the women but a jury found him guilty of two counts of sexual assault. He is the youngest son of fashion tycoon Aristos Constantinou, who was gunned down in Hampstead in 1985 when Anthony was just three. Constantinou, who arrived at court with wife Penny, glanced at the public gallery as he was jailed. Judge Nicholas Cooke, QC, told him: “Sexual bullying in the workplace is a serious matter. “It is aggravating that the two offences are examples of people high up in an organisation doing this against people who are dependent on that organisation. “The boss is doing it and others cannot stop it.” Constantinou’s company briefly had a sponsorship deal with Chelsea FC.
