Kylie on the menu at restaurant’s 100th birthday bash

SHE’S used to filling huge stadiums all over the world – but this was a much more intimate affair for pop icon Kylie Minogue.

The Australian singer entertained a select audience of about 80 celebrities at a London restaurant ahead of her sell-out show at The Royal Albert Hall.

She performed an acoustic set of Christmas hits and Kylie classics at The Ivy, one of the West End’s most fashionable eateries. Dressed in shiny disco pants, a matching glittering blazer and a white shirt, Kylie, 48, was joined by her 29-year-old fiancé Joshua Sasse on Wednesday night.

The one-off event kicked off celebrations for the restaurant’s centenary next year.

Kylie was cheered on by celebrity friends including actress Kristin Scott Thomas, actor Woody Harrelson, TV presenter Alan Carr and perennial partygoer Liz Hurley.

And as she stood on the bar singing her hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, Rolling Stone rocker Ronnie Wood could be seen belting out every word along with her, as he watched the show with his theatre producer wife Sally Humphreys.

Asked if he was a Kylie fan, the father-ofsix said: “Of course I am, who isn’t?” Ronnie, 69, who recently had twins, also said that despite his age he is not ruling out adding to his brood. “It depends on Sally,” he said. “Whatever she wants.”

After her performance Kylie said: “Alan Carr says it’s surreal watching me tonight. But I’ve been on his show hundreds of times with cameras in my face – it doesn’t get more surreal than that.”

And she added: “Of course, I’m thrilled my man is here. He helps lift me off the bar where I usually find myself.”
