Lecturer ‘in romps at college’

DENTAL lecturer Dr Alec High repeatedly had sex in his office and lied to cover it up, an inquiry heard.

He was overheard by colleagues having sex with a woman at the University of Leeds – including on one occasion by a support officer comforting a grieving student.

Despite being warned he continued his illicit liaisons with the woman, who was often seen going to and from the school of dentistry.

He lied to a university investigation, trying to convince staff he was working at a hospital when he and the woman were heard having sex.

The General Dental Council hearing in London was told staff had overheard Dr High having sex in his office for years. The GDC panel found his sexual dalliances between 2013 and 2015 were inappropriate and unprofessional.

It will announce its sanction today.
