Make charities accountable for where the money goes

THE scandalous waste of foreign aid lifts the lid on something seriously shocking (“Outrage after £17m of £25m foreign aid goes to consultants”, January 23).

With the exception of Band Aid, when was the last time any charity publicised how much of the money donated had reached the people they were supposed to be helping?

Reputable charities should get together and give a Kitemark to those who publish this information.
