Thriller: Case, 10pm, C4

In recent years Scandinavian thrillers have become a real television trend in Britain. From Kenneth Branagh as Wallander to more recent offerings like The Killing and The Bridge, they have become part and parcel of our listings. This new offering from Channel 4 is set in the Icelandic capital city of Reykjavik and stars Magnus Jonsson and Elma Stefania Agustsdottir (both left). Episode one is dominated by the case of a promising ballerina called Lara whose body is found hanged on the main stage of the National Theatre in the city. In response to the death, detective Gabriela and her partner Hogni are assigned to the case and must get to the bottom of who carried out the crime.
