Buble praises brave son as he ‘beats his cancer’
SINGER Michael Buble has praised the bravery of his three-year-old son Noah after an aunt said the boy seems to have beaten his liver cancer.
Michael, 41, and his Argentine actress wife Luisana, 29, paid tribute to Noah on Facebook.
They said: “We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy.
“He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us.
“Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words.
“We’d like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love.”
Earlier, Noah’s aunt Daniela Lopilato had told of her happiness and confirmed: “The cancer has gone.”
Argentine journalist Tomas Dente had contacted her to comment on reports that Noah was recovering. He said: “I’m going to read word for word what Daniela told me because I don’t want to miss out a comma. She tells me, ‘Yes, Noah is recovering and we’re very happy that’s the case’.”
The key sentence, he said, was: “The cancer has gone.”
Noah, who has a year-old brother, Elias, was diagnosed with the cancer last November and has had months of gruelling chemotherapy to try to reduce the size of his tumour before its removal.
Michael has pulled out of work commitments, including plans to host this year’s Brit awards.
