We can prey on Foxes’ fragility says Morison

- Ian Baker

MILLWALL marksman Steve Morison has backed his side to take advantage of Leicester’s “fragile” mental state and knock out another Premier League team at home on Saturday.

The Lions have seen off both Bournemouth and Watford and now believe they can add Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes to the list.

Leicester are a side severely lacking in confidence after no league wins in 2017 and Morison, who scored in both the previous cup rounds, is confident. “We need to get on the front foot in terms of intensity – and if we do that we can hurt them with our creative attacking play,” said Morison.

“They’re having a bad patch and we can prey on that fragility at the Den.

“I have been enjoying playing Premier League teams and I have found the games quite comfortable. They’re not as physical, so it’s more about bringing your quality.” Millwall were FA Cup runners-up just 13 years ago and the League One club are already dreaming of another final.

“If we beat Leicester, we’re just 90 minutes away from a game at Wembley,” said Morison. “If we can get the win on Saturday, I’ll allow myself to start thinking about playing there.

“The players, the fans and the staff are singing off the same hymn sheet and that’s paying off on the pitch. We are enjoying playing at the Den right now – and long may it continue.”
