Hey dude...Paul and Ringo back in the studio

IT is the reunion millions of fans around the world have been longing for.

The two remaining Beatles have teamed up in the studio for the first time in years, it was revealed yesterday.

Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were working together this weekend on the drummer’s latest album.

Starr posted a photo on Twitter yesterday morning with the caption: “Thanks for coming over man and playing. Great bass. I love you man peace and love.”

They were also joined in the studio by Eagles legend Joe Walsh, according to another photo Starr posted.

He said Walsh had “come out to play”, adding “what a day I’m having”.

Producer Bruce Sugar, who has worked on Starr’s recent releases, also posted a photo of him with the two Beatles on Facebook.

He wrote: “Magical day in the studio with these two”.

Starr, 76, and McCartney, 74, last collaborat­ed in 2010 for Starr’s Y Not record.

Starr is now working on a The Beatles became the most successful band of all time follow-up to his 2015 album Postcards From Paradise.

Forming in Liverpool in 1960, The Beatles went on to become the best-selling band of all time with estimated global record sales of 600 million.

They went on to sell more Number One UK albums and more UK singles than any other act in history.

They are also the bestsellin­g music artists in the United States, selling 178 million records. In 2008 the Fab Four topped Billboard magazine’s all-time “Hot 100” artists and they have also won 10 Grammy Awards and 15 Ivor Novello Awards.

The Beatles were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. All four were inducted individual­ly from 1994 to 2015.
