Tim to end Twickenham hoodoo

- Alex Bywater

TIM VISSER says beating England would be the best moment of his career and believes Scotland can storm Twickenham a week on Saturday.

The Harlequins winger scored the crucial try to help Vern Cotter’s men beat Wales at Murrayfield and keep them in contention for the Six Nations title.

Scotland have not won at HQ for 34 years but Visser said: “Beating England at Twickenham would be the best result I’ve ever been involved in. I’m pretty sure it’s like that for the rest of the guys, too. We believe we can win at Twickenham. Anything is possible

SCOTLAND

– you’ve seen that with our win over Wales. England are formidable and have been since the World Cup, but we will be going down there with optimism and we’re looking forward to it.”

Scotland produced a superb second-half display to down Wales, scoring 20 unanswered points. Visser’s try followed an effort from fellow wing Tommy Seymour with man-of-the-match Finn Russell kicking 19 points. “England will be another step up for us. We will take the positives from this, but you can’t underestimate England, ever,” Visser added.

“They are easily the best team in the championship. We will go there with a lot of optimism but we will have to up our game.”

They will do so without flanker John Hardie, however, who has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament with a knee injury suffered against Wales.

“We had our chances but didn’t capitalise on them. It was a very disappointing day,” said Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb. VISSER: Match-winner
