Bikini-clad nanny Mel B blames for her break-up
THIS is the nanny former Scary Spice Mel B claims wrecked her marriage.
The star, real name Melanie Brown, alleges her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte slept with Lorraine Gilles during the seven years she looked after her three children.
The singer also claims that Belafonte got the 26-year-old German girl pregnant and forced the Spice Girl to pay for an abortion.
Her explosive allegations, detailed in court papers filed in Los Angeles this week, state that Belafonte, 41, ordered Ms Gilles to abort the pregnancy and had paid her £240,000 for “nanny services”.
Leeds-born Mel’s documents also describe her American husband as “a large, extremely aggressive, hostile and violent individual”.
Film producer Belafonte denies the allegations.
Mel, also 41, who married her second husband in 2007, claims he “went ballistic” sacked Ms Gilles.
Mel said she was devastated when Belafonte told her in 2014 that the nanny was pregnant.
She added: “[He] told me he wanted her to have the baby and all three of us live together. I was shocked and in disbelief.”
After Ms Gilles was fired in 2015, Mel said: “He screamed after she and yelled at me for three hours. He told me that Lorraine raised our children far better than I ever could.
“He stated, ‘No matter what, she will always be in my life. How dare you fire her’.
“He told me to shut up and listen – instructing and demanding that I call Lorraine, apologise, beg her to come back and give her a raise. He then threatened, ‘You do realise that Lorraine could be a witness against you and give a story to the press and tell child services’.”
Yesterday Ms Gilles’s sister, Jacquelyn Baartz, dismissed the claims saying: “My sister and I are very, very close. I would have known about this.”
Mel filed for divorce last month citing irreconcilable differences and requesting joint custody of the couple’s daughter Madison, five.
She was married to Dutch backing singer Jimmy Gulzar between 1998 and 2000. The couple have a daughter Phoenix Chi, 18.
She later had a relationship with Beverly Hills Cop star Eddie Murphy with whom she has daughter Angel, 10.
