Farage: Western leaders are to blame
NIGEL Farage has blamed the terror attacks in western Europe on its leaders allowing in migrants of differing religions and cultures.
He told America’s Fox News that leaders such as Germany’s Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron, “all stand up and they say ‘We stand in solidarity... and this is really truly awful’, and not once do we ever hear a single leader in Europe offer any policy solutions whatsoever.
“They are still in denial and my only guess is that they are so embarrassed by the fact that they have caused this.
“There is a direct link and relationship between the number of people you let in from different religions and different cultures and the number of terror attacks.”
Anger
The MEP and former Ukip leader said central and eastern European countries avoided attacks because they had resisted European Union pressure to accept migrants.
Earlier he clashed with ITV’s Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway who asked him if he was going to “whip up anger and hate”.
Mr Farage responded: “Anyone that doesn’t recognise that link is simply in denial.”
Calling for more integration instead of “opening the door to countless numbers which is what Angela Merkel has done”, he claimed: “We have Muslim communities living in western European cities who are separated off from the rest of the community... and [are] prey in many, many ways to an extremist ideology.”
Some ITV viewers took to social media to protest at his being given air time.
