Boycott will focus minds and boost Brexit talks
IT seem obvious that European Union negotiators are seeking to blackmail us into paying a multibillion euro divorce bill before they will allow any trade talks to begin. Well I’ve got news for them, two can play at that game (“Yes, Mr Barnier the clock is ticking”, August 21).
The British public should boycott EU goods until October or whenever the trade talks begin, to concentrate their minds a little on what they stand to lose.
Who knows, we may all begin to appreciate the great value and quality of home-grown produce and Commonwealth food and wine, British and Japanese cars and even South Korean white goods. Roy Daniels, Luton, Beds
