Wells is good to go says Wagner

- Mike Whalley

HUDDERSFIELD are ready to sell Nahki Wells – with Birmingham, Hull and Wolves all in the frame to sign him.

David Wagner says he has enough attacking options to let striker Wells go before the transfer window shuts a week on Thursday.

Wells, 27, is recovering from ankle surgery but his chances of regular games have been hit by the arrival of Laurent Depoitre and Steve Mounie. He is unlikely to be fully fit until after the international break next month, but Wagner will listen to offers.

“We have high quality in our offensive line,” said the manager. “This means I’m still open to speak if there are any serious offers for him.

“Is he on the market? Yes, he is. Will he move? I don’t know. We will see what happens.”
