Nolan’s men are strolling

-

KEVIN NOLAN believes Notts County are firmly back to their best after they trounced 10-man Newport 3-0 to return to the top of the table.

The Magpies ended a winless run of three games in style as they capitalised on Dan Butler’s first-half red card.

Jorge Grant grabbed a double either side of a Shola Ameobi strike and boss Nolan said: “It could have been five, six or seven given the chances we created and I don’t think that would have flattered them.”

John Coleman believes his Accrington side are back on target for automatic promotion after their 4-1 victory over Barnet.

The Reds are now second and Coleman said: “We are back to averaging two points a game now, which should get you up.”

At the bottom, Kristian Dennis rescued a point for Chesterfield in a 2-2 draw with Carlisle, while Morecambe lost 2-0 at Forest Green, who moved out of the relegation zone.
