WINDSOR CHAPEL A CHOICE VENUE

-

THE 15th-century St George’s Chapel will provide Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with more privacy than other wedding venues they could have chosen.

Set in the Lower Ward of the Queen’s beloved Windsor Castle, it offers the couple a distinctly more intimate venue – but one that is appropriately grand.

The chapel can hold about 800 guests, compared with the 2,000 capacity of Westminster Abbey.

And with the Queen now 91 and the Duke of Edinburgh 96, the choice will be especially convenient for the Prince’s grandparents.

Harry was christened in the chapel in December 1984 when he was three months old, which, according to Church of England rules, means he can also be married there.
