ED OVERLOOKED FOR TOP GRAMMY AWARDS
DESPITE dominating the charts and selling millions of copies of his album Divide, Ed Sheeran has been largely snubbed by the 2018 Grammy Awards – finding himself excluded from the main categories.
Although the 26-year-old’s latest release was the fastest-selling record by a male artist in UK history it has been overlooked by organisers for top gongs Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year.
The one-man hit-factory cleaned up in 2016 when he took home trophies including the much-coveted Best Song gong for Thinking Out Loud.
But he found himself lagging behind this time around with American stars such as singer Bruno Mars and rapper Jay Z featuring multiple times.
The Yorkshire-born singer does still have a couple of nods in 2017 however with single Shape Of You up for Best Pop Solo Performance, and Divide shortlisted for Best Pop Album.
