Amanda salutes Britain’s top beauty talent at awards
Joy and Richard Desmond with Amanda at the glamorous ceremony last night TV star Amanda Holden lit up the biggest event in the beauty industry last night. Amanda, 46, was hosting the Beauty Awards 2017 with OK! magazine and was at her resplendent best in a black fulllength gown. The Britain’s Got Talent judge gave out 30 awards including the coveted prizes of Best New Premium Skincare Product, Product of the Year and Beauty Innovation of the Year. Daily Express and OK! magazine owner Richard Desmond and his wife Joy topped the list of guests attending the glamorous awards ceremony at The Pavilion in the grounds of the Tower of London.
X Factor star Holly Tandy sang live, tweeting before the event: “So excited to perform at the @OK_ Magazine Beauty awards this evening.”
Singer Peter Andre and his wife Emily, The Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan and Strictly Come Dancing trio Janette Manrara, Karen Clifton and Oti Mabuse were among the 700 to attend.
Candice, 32, and her fiance Liam Macaulay walked the red carpet together, even sharing a quick kiss in front of the cameras. Presenter Melanie Sykes also graced the red carpet at the glitzy event, alongside TOWIE stars including Lauren Goodger, James Argent and Joey Essex.
Lisa Snowdon and Sarah Harding attended and watched on as the biggest beauty brands competed. Also there were stars from the reality hit Love Island.
Guests enjoyed Gancia Leggero prosecco as they arrived and dignitaries in the VIP area were treated to Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka.
The event built on the success story of last year when OK! supported the awards ceremony for the first time at the Banqueting House in Whitehall.
