Following the success of the first movie, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Sideswipe and leader Optimus Prime return to take on the evil Decepticons.

The arch-enemies become involved in a perilous space race between the United States and Russia to reach a hidden spacecraft that crashed into the moon decades ago and contains an incredibly powerful device.

The Decepticons plan to use the machine to rebuild their world and destroy the Earth, forcing Sam Witwicky to once again come to the aid of his robot friends.
