Hangovers on This Morning after the wild night before

- By Mark Reynolds

IT was definitely This Morning after the night before – as stars suffered a giant collective hangover yesterday following the National Television Awards.

Normally-stylish celebs including Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Tess Daly and Bradley Walsh all looked a bit worse for wear after Tuesday night’s revelry.

Holly, 36, and Phillip, 55, both arrived late for work on ITV’s This Morning, which won the award for best daytime show.

Producers teased viewers with a jokey sign saying they had not turned up at all and apologising for the “disruption” – before the pair burst through it looking bleary-eyed.

Holly pretended to doze off on Phillip’s shoulder, having had only two hours’ sleep after getting to bed at 4am and eating pizza for breakfast.

She told viewers: “Thank you, thank you, thank you. Each and every one is so important.”

Phillip said of the big night: “We had a lot of fun. My voice has gone down an octave.”

Viewers burst out laughing as Holly and Phillip lifted their trophy at the ceremony when Bradley Walsh, host of quiz show The Chase, sneaked on the stage behind them.

Referring to a famous wardrobe malfunction in 2001, Holly said: “I thought, ‘Have I done Judy Finnigan? Has my top fallen down?’”

Bradley also woke feeling rough and posted a picture of himself on a social media account he had set up only the night before.

In his first post he called Holly a “bad girl” and said: “Oh dear... woke up with a headache and an Instagram account.”

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly struggled to cope with a taxi after the ceremony but former Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, a mother of two, managed to cope yesterday morning with the school run.
