Becker serves up appeal to find trophies
BORIS Becker yesterday issued a bizarre appeal for help to find his Wimbledon trophies.
The tennis champion needs to sell his haul of silverware to help pay off reported debts of £54million.
But his most treasured mementos – including three Wimbledon and two Australian Open trophies – have gone missing.
Becker, 50, is now asking for help to track his trophies down because he “can’t remember where they are”.
Becker, who lives near Wimbledon, and his bankruptcy trustees have made a public appeal for information to help solve the mystery.
A spokesman for financial firm Smith & Williamson said: “A number of the trophies are unaccounted for as Mr Becker is unable to recollect where they are located.”
