RUPERT’S WINTER JOURNEY

“How can we go?” asks Rupert, who is puzzled by the whole adventure. In answer the little man leads them into another cave and the two pals see they are facing a stretch of still water. The man quietly presses a button and while Rupert and Bill watch spellbound a strange iron object rises slowly from the water. “Can it be a submarine?” gasps Rupert. “You’ve guessed right,” replies the man, smiling. “I’ve invented it and made it myself. Sailor Sam has already had a trial run in it, and now you can help him on a real long journey.
