EMILIA CAN’T OUTFOX OUR TEAM

-

ACTRESS Emilia Fox has won an army of admirers for her role as Dr Nikki Alexander in BBC crime drama Silent Witness. And those legions of fans won’t have to wait too long to see her star in new ITV crime thriller White Dragon after Day & Night spotted her filming scenes for the upcoming production in London.

Emilia, 43, the daughter of acting aristocrat Edward Fox, plays a diplomat caught up in the riddle surrounding the death of a British university lecturer’s wife in Hong Kong in the series, due to air in the autumn. She was filming at a freezing cold Old Billingsgate Market next to the River Thames this week, where a show insider confirmed to us that many of the Hong Kong scenes are actually shot in London.

While Emilia and co-star John Simm no doubt appreciate being closer to their nearest and dearest in Blighty the fact that the weather in Hong Kong is a far milder 20C might just irk a little.

IT WOULD appear the powers that be at Madame Tussauds are really trying to hammer home Tom Hardy’s status as a heart-throb – by installing a new waxwork of the Mad Max star which rather bizarrely comes complete with its very own beating heart.

The figure, which is the newest attraction at the London tourist favourite, is also said to feature a soft, warm torso and fans were pictured getting up close and personal with it this week. Tom, 40, is the second British actor to be immortalised in wax recently after Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne’s effigy was put on display last month.
