Ewan’s wife left in dark over split

EWAN McGREGOR’s wife insists she is as much in the dark as anyone following reports he has been dumped by his younger lover.

Reacting to the supposed split, the star’s wife of 22 years, Eve Mavrakis, below left with him, took to social media to say: “No, I hadn’t heard. I really don’t know,” suggesting it’s news to her and quite possibly the four daughters they share together too.

It comes on the back of Ewan leaving her for his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, above left with him, with rumours of a relationship surfacing after the pair were seen kissing.

Then came a bizarre acceptance speech at last month’s Golden Globes when the 46-year-old thanked both Mary and Eve individually as he took to the stage to pick up his Best Actor In A Mini Series gong.

According to a US publication the 33-year-old decided to call time on the relationship because “Mary hated being labelled a home wrecker and the embarrassment it caused her.

“It’s sad because a year ago Ewan and his wife were in great shape and then he decided to throw it all away for Mary. Now it looks like he’s lost them both for good”.

Ewan is believed to have cited irreconcilable differences when filing for divorce from Eve last month.

And according to US website TMZ the actor, who’s worth approximately £26million, wants joint custody of the couple’s three youngest children, Anouk, Esther Rose and Jamyan Eve.

Eve is said to be asking for sole physical custody.
