But Pochettino says it would not cause any financial worries for the club or chairman Daniel Levy, having not budgeted to make the two Champions League campaigns they have embarked on in his reign so far.
“It was never the idea to play in the Champions League for four years,” Pochettino said. “The idea was to prepare the team for the first year. Daniel is safe with the money. It’s not a problem.
