Cheers to Wetherspoon as boss shows us all the way

Daily Express - - LETTERS -

WHAT an excellent idea from Tim Martin and his Wetherspoon empire (“Wetherspoon’s boss to ditch EU booze in favour of British brews”, June 14).

Now if only all the British people took the same action and stopped buying meat and butter from the Irish Republic it may have a different approach to the border issue, as their exports to the UK outweigh imports.

Imports from the EU could also be challenged as everything this country requires can be obtained outside the EU.

This would prove to the EU and the political idiots that we want to leave the EU and we, the people, don’t need it.

Why are some of our politicians and the old duffers and others in the Westminster bubble so against the people’s wishes?

Many believe they have an ulterior motive, perhaps it’s the properties they have bought in Europe or is it their personal business interests and arrangements? John Sharp, Cowes, Isle of Wight
