UK sends billions abroad but neglects vulnerable

THE answer to the question on the front page (“Is a tax rise the only way to cure our ailing social care?” August 6) is very simple.

Slash the foreign aid budget (particularly for countries that don’t need it or abuse it) and spend it here on our own people. As they say, it’s not rocket science.
