Thieves raid Paddy’s luxury pad

- By Andy Russell

THIEVES have stolen thousands of pounds worth of belongings from the mansion of comic Paddy McGuinness and his wife Christine.

The couple were seen leaving Wilmslow Police Station in Cheshire on Thursday after reporting the crime.

Police have said the thefts took place “over a period of weeks” and they do not believe other homes in the area are at risk, suggesting the criminals either had access to McGuinness’s home or broke in a number of times.

Neither McGuinness, 45, nor his model and reality TV star wife, 30, have commented on the thefts.

They were pictured deep in conversation at the police station as they made their way to their Range Rover.

Isolated

The couple, who have been married since 2011, live in a £2.1million, sevenbedroom luxury property in Prestbury with their three children, twins Penelope and Leo, five, and Felicity, two.

It is not known whether the couple were at home at the time of the thefts or what items have been stolen.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “The victims reported that a number of items, including cash, have been taken from their home over a period of weeks. Inquiries are ongoing and officers are not appealing for information from the public.”

PC Steve Kaminski said: “I would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident which has no impact on local residents.”

Earlier yesterday, Christine was out with Real Housewives Of Cheshire costar Paddy McGuinness and wife Christine leave the police station having reported a series of thefts at their £2.1million luxury property at Prestbury, in Cheshire Tanya Bardsley, the wife of football star Phil Bardsley.

She was wearing a pink dress to film new scenes for the ITV reality show at a Wilmslow car showroom.

A spokesman for the couple declined to comment on the thefts.

Christine revealed in July last year that the twins had been diagnosed with autism, and that her youngest daughter has started to show signs of the same condition.

Speaking on Loose Women earlier this year, the former Miss Liverpool said the twins’ diagnosis came as an “instant shock”.

She said: “We had no idea they had autism even though the signs were there.

“They were non-verbal until they were three, they both walked on their tip toes, they didn’t socialise very well.

“They still do struggle with socialising with other children, and that’s probably one of the most heartbreaking parts of it because that’s just something you expect your children to do, go and make lots of friends.”
