Nasri move is in doubt

Nasri has been free to train at a club from the beginning of November, and West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini, under whom Nasri played some of the best football of his career at City, moved quickly to sign the 31-year-old on a six-month contract, with an option for a longer deal.

West Ham had looked poised to pip Premier League rivals Everton to a deal for Nasri, as well as several clubs from Major League Soccer in the USA.

Nasri most recently played for Turkish club Antalyaspo­r, but his contract there ended on January 31. He made 215 appearance­s in the Premier League, starring for Arsenal from 2008 to 2011 before moving to Manchester City for £25m, leaving in 2017. Pellegrini has moved for his former player in a bid to resolve a major injury crisis, with Andrey Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez, Winston Reid and Manuel Lanzini all sidelined.
